I really just cannot anymore. I'm so exhausted. It's too much. So I'm gonna turn off the news and the Internet and work on my #FatBearWeek bracket for awhile. With a pencil and a piece of paper. And eat my feelings.

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you. Hi, I'm sepsis following a delayed appendectomy. (I'm sure this will come as a shock, but my insurance company didn't want to authorize extending my hospital stay despite the fact that I was getting IV antibiotics to treat it.)

Without saying your age, what’s your favourite movie that came out when you were 18? I have a pretty cool list to choose from, but I'll go with:

Seriously, stop treating this guy like he's any other candidate. He wouldn't have a single vote if he wasn't investing tens of millions in his own campaign. He's no better than any of the Republicans who've tried to buy statewide office in CA. #TeamBecerra

Some people running for Governor of CA are like that parent at school who donated a lot to the new playground and now thinks they should be the Principal. As if experience and expertise are not important and meaningful. We have someone experienced. #Becerra

The #toptwo #openprimary system was a nice idea. We'll get more "moderate" candidates, they said, instead of more "extreme" ones. Not so much. Instead of voting your heart in the primary, you have to vote for someone who can make the top two or risk 2 MAGAs. Let's go back to party primaries.

Let's be honest. There is no path to single payer in CA in the next few years. It would require federal waivers, a huge tax increase, and a vote that won't pass once doctors start telling their patients they'll leave the state. Anyone who doesn't tell you this is lying to get your vote. #CAGov

Given today's events, I'm feeling like the only mistake CA made in its recent #redistricting was leaving any R districts at all. One district near me, drawn as R, will either go to Young Kim or Ken Calvert, who are busy slinging gallons of mud at each other. We don't need either of these clowns.

Chad "Pornstache" #Bianco has his first TV ad up for #CAGov. Every promise he makes ignores that he can't do any of it without the state legislature -- including discriminating against trans athletes and eliminating the income tax (CA would be broke unless a regressive tax replaced it). #FactsMatter

I am as happy as anyone to see Eastman disbarred. But given the recent beliefs expressed in the CO conversion therapy argument on free speech in the practice of a profession, I wonder if this disbarment will survive SCOTUS's loving embrace. I hope so. #legalsky

It's funny to hear someone refer to a TV show from the late 90's or earlier with "oh, X show wasn't very successful, it only lasted three seasons." But those three seasons were 66 episodes, which would take anywhere from 6-8 seasons now. And yeah I miss seasons with more episodes... #TV

This article by TIME about the legacy of "The Best of Both Worlds" left me with two thoughts: 1. They really should have bought Shelby back for some more episodes. Ideally in S7 as a Captain who is amazed that Riker is STILL first officer. 😄
