So, #Cupertino. Robert & Michelle King, I'm there for you, every show. I have some questions. Why isn't #MikeColter a huge movie star? Also #YoloCounty is not in the south of anything? #UCDavis is there, it's not Mayberry. Anyway, I feel the DNA of the #GoodVerse in this. ❤️ Will be watching.

Man, we can't get those style of eggrolls here in California. I miss them so much. Nobody knows what duck sauce is, either.

The scene where they hear the song on the radio for the first time is such a great expression of pure joy. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

If you see this, post a vampire that isn't Dracula. Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont in A Discovery of Witches.

I really just cannot anymore. I'm so exhausted. It's too much. So I'm gonna turn off the news and the Internet and work on my #FatBearWeek bracket for awhile. With a pencil and a piece of paper. And eat my feelings.

Only five days left until Fat Bear Week!

See, I don't hate the end of BSG. It was weird, but the show had a lot of baked in weird. 24 definitely had a cultural moment. I think it would have had more staying power if they'd gone out after season 5 or 6. As UK shows became more accessible (Spooks), 24 started feeling unsophisticated.

There are parts of it that stuck! Had a fun conversation about Jean Smart and Glen Morshower's smoking hot love story not long ago. And I still have the CTU phone as my brother's ringtone. Have moved that puppy from phone to phone for 25 years. Good grief... I can't wait for Maureen's BSG book.

BSG and 24 were the first true post-9/11 TV shows.

I know someone who worked on the most recent movies. The puppeteers are *very* protective of their characters. The thing is, they were usually right.

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you. Hi, I'm sepsis following a delayed appendectomy. (I'm sure this will come as a shock, but my insurance company didn't want to authorize extending my hospital stay despite the fact that I was getting IV antibiotics to treat it.)

My dad would have really enjoyed this. He's the one who introduced me to Gabriel Allon about 15 years ago. He passed last year. When a new Gabriel book comes out I'm so happy to have it to read, but sad that my father isn't here to talk about it with me.

Without saying your age, what’s your favourite movie that came out when you were 18? I have a pretty cool list to choose from, but I'll go with:

Image of Kirk and Spock from Star Trek IV

For us community theater kids, whether Protestant, Catholic, or Jewish, Godspell was a transformative experience. It's impossible to maintain stage fright when everyone is onstage for (nearly) the entire show. And when something goes wrong, you learn how to think on your feet. Literally!

000

Lynn in SoCal @lynnsocal.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

Gee, I wonder. Could it be that by the time season 2 comes out three years later, I've completely forgotten season 1 even existed, much less what it as about, and I'd have to invest the time in a full rewatch? Could that possibly be it? #ItsNotRocketScienceKids

If you're vaccinated, especially if you've had a recent booster, your chances of getting measles are crazy small. You're far more likely to be in a car accident on the ride from the airport. It's the unvaccinated, especially people who can't be vaccinated, who are in danger.

Seriously, stop treating this guy like he's any other candidate. He wouldn't have a single vote if he wasn't investing tens of millions in his own campaign. He's no better than any of the Republicans who've tried to buy statewide office in CA. #TeamBecerra

I am so there for that I can't even tell you. I don't think I could have any less respect for these schmucks if they just admitted the racism outright. To them, no black woman can be considered the most beautiful woman in the world. It would still be repulsive, but at least it would be honest.

I admit I do not have an encyclopedic knowledge of that show, but I'd be really surprised if Hercules didn't have the equivalent of Xena knowing Helen of Troy and Julius Caesar...and she was neither immortal nor 1000+ years old. (I love Xena, did I mention?)

Lynn in SoCal @lynnsocal.bsky.social · 16/05/2026

It is truly rich to see the guy who starred in **Hercules** bitch about the lack of historical accuracy. (Didn't like Hercules, loved Xena. Fite me.)

Some people running for Governor of CA are like that parent at school who donated a lot to the new playground and now thinks they should be the Principal. As if experience and expertise are not important and meaningful. We have someone experienced. #Becerra

The #toptwo #openprimary system was a nice idea. We'll get more "moderate" candidates, they said, instead of more "extreme" ones. Not so much. Instead of voting your heart in the primary, you have to vote for someone who can make the top two or risk 2 MAGAs. Let's go back to party primaries.

Let's be honest. There is no path to single payer in CA in the next few years. It would require federal waivers, a huge tax increase, and a vote that won't pass once doctors start telling their patients they'll leave the state. Anyone who doesn't tell you this is lying to get your vote. #CAGov

That's probably impractical, especially given that professional tools are now integrating AI. But what courts can and should do is start handing out very substantial sanctions for every offense. A minimum $10k sanction for citing a hallucinated case or a fake quote, for starters.
