🧵I try to post positive messages, but some weeks feel "heavier" than others. This past week was one of the heavier ones. It started out happy, with my sister coming to stay for a week, to celebrate her birthday with us. I baked a chocolate birthday cake, made chicken Parmigiana for her, and all

While Kraft Dinner (aka Kraft Macaroni and Cheese in the USA), is a guilty pleasure of mine (yeah..I know...I know...😏); I question their plan for a cheesy carbonated beverage....😬 Sorry, it's only available in Canada! 🍁😂🤣

We're so fortunate to have the Mennonite farm just down the road. Look at the beautiful bounty: 🧡🍂

Some watermelons...NOT! A large box full of butternut and buttercup squash (the box has "watermelons" printed on the front. Lol

A large container of striped yellow and green Delicata squash

Just some gourds being their freaky selves!! Lol. Some of them look like strange birds with skin conditions.

Why does this remind me of someone? 🤔😆😂

A pumpkin with "issues"...that look like abnormal growths. I think it represents a nefarious orange person...

Scenes from today's bicycle ride.. ✨☀️🐴🚴 A couple of equine friends came over to the fence to greet us. 🥰

Two beautiful horses standing in a green pasture adjacent to the bicycle trail. One horse is brown with cream coloured patches, and the smaller horse is a dark brown.

The same two horses are now looking at me.

A close-up of the brown and cream coloured horse. Her mane is a strawberry blonde colour.

Our Hibiscuses are doing very well this year! 🌺❤️✨

Several dark red Hibiscuses are in full bloom. Unfortunately, the rose bush to the left has been severely damaged by the SawFly larvae, but it's still trying to produce pink roses!

No cheating. Share your last photo of the sky from your camera roll.

Another batch of peaches canned! Now I can go cycling! 🍑🚴🌞✨

Some peaches that have just been blanched and peeled are sitting in a red bowl on a kitchen counter

Sliced peaches are sitting in mason jars waiting for the lids to be placed on the jars. Yes, I am very messy in the kitchen!! Lol

The jars of peaches are in a boiling water bath, in a large black enamel pot on a white stove.

Et voila! The jars of peaches have had their bath, and are sitting on a blue and white tea towel on a kitchen counter...not to be disturbed for at least 24 hours.
Ta da!!

We went to the Shawville Fair a couple of days ago. The aromas and rides brought back some fond memories of another fair, where I grew up. 😊✨💙

While we were listening to a cover band, the sky was putting on a spectacular show too! The sunset is shining its orange and yellow rays onto the puffy clouds.

A photo of one of the rides at the fair. People are lying prone on a padded suspended frame / platform, as the ride rotates them rapidly counterclockwise.

A photo of the Zipper ride. This brought back very fond memories for me. Dad and I used to go on this ride when I was a child. We made the cage spin vertically, faster than anyone else's! We would both laugh hysterically as the coins in Dad's pockets would fall out when we were upside down! It was so much fun!

Scenes from today's bicycle ride: ✨🚴 Wild plums! The peels are bitter, but the flesh is sweet. A friend of ours makes jam with them.
