#rain #Arizona The little wash behind our house at the bottom of a small hill is flowing very nicely. Sound up to hear all the happy birds. 🐦 This will flow into the Camino de Oeste wash about a quarter mile from here then that wash flows into the Santa Cruz River about a quarter mile away.

#rain #Arizona Lots of clouds and a gentle rain. This is looking west toward the Tucson Mountains but they're all socked in with clouds. 🌧️😁 I hope this continues all day long. Slow rains give everything a chance to soak in and not turn into flash floods.

#cats I spent about an hour grooming our newest little resident Puff. ♥️😽 She had mats and a dirty bottom so there was a lot of cleaning, combing and a sani trim. #rain #WaterHarvesting A nice rainstorm and went to check our pop-up drain. It's part of our water harvesting system that comes from the gutters, goes underground and comes up at the pop-up and goes into swales and rain basins with pomegranates and other bushes in it. Free water, the best kind!

The box the new Staub blue enamel flat griddle came in. It had never been used! Thinking this might be one of my best Craigslist finds. It's smaller than the big comal that I've been using to do burritos and quesadillas and it's easier to move too. The surface is a very smooth black which is different from the rougher Lodge iron skillets I use that were my mom's. Need to bone up on the care of this ASAP.
