So why is the firefighter's union in #yyj endorsing someone who makes transphobic tweets? They're talking a lot about public safety, but I guess the safety of trans people doesn't count.

So many drivers here act homicidal, and their behaviour is consistently blamed on bike lanes I was getting punish passed, coal rolled + dealing with attempted doorings before bike lanes were a thing. No enforcement + vulnerable road user safety decried as "ideology" brings out the worst in drivers

I worry about kids sometimes because AI is only getting better at fakes. And the evidence of cognitive decline in chronic users is concerning. I just don't understand what this is all in aid of - doesn't seem like it's helping regular folks much. Is it just seeing how far we can take it?

yeah it's not great. Some teachers are against it but a shocking number seem to be leaning into it, encouraging kids to use AI to do assignments. I don't even know what to do. I feel like a weirdo sometimes.

One of the most important things you learn in school is how to learn. Things like where to look for answers, how to find sources of accurate information. How to suss out fakery. You can't learn those things from relying on AI summaries as your source of truth.

Broke the law today because the sidewalk was obstructed by a construction sign in one spot and overgrown bushes in another. BC ministry of highways should make sidewalks safe for powerchair users first.

I only remember her from an Esquimalt community page where she was saying that drivers shouldn't automatically stop and check for pedestrians and cyclists at the e&n crossing on Wilson because cyclists and pedestrians would get a false sense of security.
