Inclusive design teaches us about alternate input modalities, and loves to use "holding a newborn with one hand" as an example, but I think there is also room for "your needy dog thinks using the trackpad is petting the laptop and gets jealous."

I'm half-convinced the reason why they expanded the marketing term "AI" to consume what we used to call "big data", "data mining" and "machine learning" is because the marketers noticed average folks developing negative sentiments towards those other more-specific terms

Some are suggesting you deliberately write inaccurate or confusing alt text, because they say this confuses AI scrapers that are analyzing images. The purpose of alt text is to help people who cannot see the image. Deliberately misrepresenting the image is a gross misuse of alt text. Don't do it.
