It's not even that I didn't read other manga when I was younger, but her work his at juuust the right moment that it utterly informed my tastes forevermore. Altered the landscape of my brain. Also you can sprinkle her Arcana work in there too, I didn't think to look that up but also anthology etc

I've made myself clear.

TRUEEE especially if your aetherpool isn't at cap, there's just a lot of nasty guys in that floorset that hit hard

110

Rue @lumpin.zone · 29/09/2026

oh wait I see the updates now dang!! still though, good job!!!

110

Rue @lumpin.zone · 29/09/2026

oh yeah, floorset 181+ is the scariest set imo because it tends to be really aggressive with patrols (whomst you've *got* to respect the mechanics of) and also an enemy with an enrage, good luck!!!!

They made a fankit for Village in the Shade and I'm losing it at scrolling down through the default character portraits only to encounter the player character,

From the Honogurashi no Niwa / Village in the Shade official fankit. It's the default look of the player character (default name: Ame), in a video game streaming setup and also pixel sunglasses.

these things!!! they had a flap of bubble gum and also like, video game hint cards. I never actually owned a Game Gear but I liked collecting the cards as a kid.

Taken from one of the Sonic fandom wikis on Food Products. It's a plastic container that resembles a Game Gear. I distinctly remember some plain pink bubble gum in these and also various collectable hint cards that featured various Sonic game covers.

From that same wiki page: this one's a plastic container that resembles a Mega Drive controller.

Rue @lumpin.zone · 27/09/2026

the little flap of bubblegum in a sega object-shaped plastic container that had collectable cards of all the older sonic games i had says otherwise

When we went out to the market I picked up a vanilla YanYan -not even strawberry, I was settling because the only strawberry they had was the Hello Kitty variety which is an extremely lower tier snack - and! all! the! cracker sticks!! ARE FUUUCKING BUSTED!!!! why did I even bother!!!!!!!!

Rue @lumpin.zone · 27/09/2026

I know it doesn't have the strongest reputation among Disgaea fans at large, but it's through Disgaea 3 that I became friends with the woman I'd later marry, so it's quite key here lmao 😤

010

Rue @lumpin.zone · 27/09/2026

The nine games thing that I meant to get around to for a bit but forgot. Also this is tricky, Threads of Fate could compete against Legend of Mana there, I did replay both a lot as a kid...

The nine games (that shaped who I am) chart via: https://my9games.net/en

The following games are listed: Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island, Sonic Adventure, Legend of Mana, Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, Monster Hunter Tri, Final Fantasy XI, Bust-A-Move (Puzzle Bobble) and Disgaea 3.

the amount of inks out there is dangerous.......... but no yeah, it's been nice!! It's looking like maybe I'll finally stop punching through my paper like I had when my ball-point pens were struggling lmao

110

Rue @lumpin.zone · 25/09/2026

I picked up another sample of their inks (Haribon, a silvery purple) and it was. okay. a little too pale for what I'd like to write with and also a bit of a fight in the pen... an awkward first impression!! but then this one came out of the nib like ba-BAM

110

Rue @lumpin.zone · 25/09/2026

it can't keep getting away with this...

020

Rue @lumpin.zone · 25/09/2026

I obtained two cheap fountain pen recently. My meager funds are fortunate in that I don't feel any pull towards collecting the pens themselves. (So long as they're comfy to write with!) However, oooh that shimmer ooohhhh

Writing test with the Pilot Kakuno (medium nib). The ink sample is Vinta's Dugong Bughaw, which is a deep blue ink that shimmers a magenta-pink in the light.

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights** Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight.

From meteorologist Eric Snitil

**Lights Out Alert Sunday & Monday Nights**

"Heads up birders, I would not be surprised if the biggest bird migration night of the year happens over the next 2 nights. Birdcast is estimating 300-400 million birds will be in flight. That is a lot, but the pattern could not be better for migratory birds. A massive area of high pressure will turn the low level winds from the northeast to the southwest across most of the US. The last time we had anything similar to this in the fall was early October last year when a record 1.25 billion birds were in flight. I doubt we get to that level, but I suspect the number will top 500 million especially Monday night which looks to be the bigger of the two nights. You can help by turning off those outdoor lights on big migration nights, and the next 2 nights is about as big as it gets."
