We've been through this before. Third shakeup for Warner Bros. in less than a decade. But, we'll get through this. Expect the status quo to stay mostly the same for now. Things can only get better later on. But for now, support physical media, #LooneyTunes and classic movies/shows.

I personally feel that the WBD/Paramiunt deal won’t even last the rest of the year because it is too compromised a deal of the original thing to truly be a threat. That and a weak Q4 lineup and bleeding money means we could see the two studios break up, and Ellison terminated. It could happen.

Cartoon Network first went on the air on this day in 1992. Turner Broadcasting gave us a network and childhood stable filled with reruns of classic cartoons, eye catching bumpers, critically acclaimed shows and cult favorites. Nothing can deny the impact that Cartoon Network had on animation.

Under Ellison ownership, #BoycottCBS and #BoycottCNN. Boycott all PSKY owned networks until the end of November 3rd. Continue to support physical media if that’s going to be strongly affected by cost cutting. For those not completely boycotting, only support the WB side of the business.

There’s legal binding terms in the consent decree about a compliance trustee overseeing it all. If Ellison can’t get 30 films a year made for both studios, we’re likely going to see WBD split up again.

WB-Seven Arts didn't last that long either. AOL Time Warner was also a bust. AT&T wanted out of WarnerMedia. Under the terms of the consent decree, we can probably expect all of WB operated as a separate entity to Skydance much how Kinney Leisure operated WB.

What does it mean for #LooneyTunes? It’s still going to be a flagship brand for WB. Even if Paramount neglects their own classic animation library, Terrytoons specifically, it doesn’t mean Bugs Bunny and company will ever be put out to pasture.
