Okay, with the analyzer I was able to confirm the PDS-100’s main CPU is running properly, so at least the 8085, clock, boot ROM, and local bus are working. The bootstrap tells the keyboard controller to self-test and then hangs forever waiting for a response. I will figure out why later.

the good news is that the PDS-100 is an 8085 single-board computer and I have the full schematics and field service manual so I can figure out what's wrong with it pretty quickly

the PDS-100 motherboard, it's a dual 8085 system with all the logic in TTL.
