The hero is especially an asshole in this episode. The poacher was right that the bridge wasn't safe, and the poacher was also right that the weenie should have been paid off with a jar or two of nitro rather than told to piss off by the hero.

The real plot gradually coheres into a discount version of the movie 'Sorceror' where the hero and the poachers need to team up to escort nitroglycerine in trucks through the jungle to blow up a choke point so the fire doesn't get to the wells.

Think fundamentally people need to remember that FA is host to a community that is largely unmonetizable due to it being chocked full of fetish art. The trade off of capitalism not getting its hands all over the subculture is that ultimately community infrastructure needs to be community funded.
