If you type "Aella" three times into ChatGPT with the lights off, an ice pick will come out of your computer and lobotomize you

Animal control never responded. Suffering squirrel had flies all over it as it continued to slowly die. Fellas, if you’ve never had to decapitate a squirrel, count yourself fortunate

You are a sick, dying squirrel. You would prefer to die in: 1) A black plastic bin with ventilation, cooked pumpkin, seeds, water, and no way to get out 2) Out in the open where a coyote or owl is likely going to get you and eat you alive current situation is 1 but I'm conflicted.

The funny thing about AI is that, when you think about it, the only people being put out of jobs are the tech people that developed it. They’re only remarkable for having particularly systematic, organized minds, and now they’ve automated that away. Good job guys

I remember there was a period where people were cancelling Woody Harrelson for his insane conspiracy theories about vaccinations and stuff. But after listening to his interview on Conan, I’m inclined to say he’s just a harmless garden-variety dumbass. There should be some leeway for these sorts of

Depressing how it seems like yet another autumn is going to get stolen from us here in Colorado and turned into late summer weather. I wonder if we're in for another warm-autumn "winter" with occasional snowfall.

I recently watched a bee get bullied off a flower by a fucking butterfly that successfully used its wings to whack (really, a light tap) the bee, so I no longer have any respect for them as insects.

Having an accurate internal clock feels like a real life magical power. I just set a 10 minute alarm for some eggs, and then got distracted and forgot all about them. Then, I suddenly get an alarming thought, "Oh no, the eggs!" and a split second later the alarm goes off.

Turns out there is a creator of the universe, but it's just some guy that spun up 999 other ones at the same time trying to see if one comes up with a solution to the bug in his code.

Deceptively simple: Stonehenge as blocks on the real contoured surface — orbit on your phone, tap for coords, sun & moon for today or c. 2500 BC. A lot of work so it feels easy. timdaw37.github.io/stonehenge-b...

Why doesn't any multimillionaire do something actually cool like found a giant hippie compound in the boondocks with no internet dedicated to doing nothing but living sustainably and making art? Why is every single one of them such a fucking bore?

As far as AI goes, I think the main legitimate concern that screw us all is cybersecurity. If finding 0 day exploits and deploying ransomware to all of our financial institutions becomes trivial, there goes all our access to non-cash money

It’s so cool that you can do things like Google “(show name) season finale)” and instead of giving you useful info like the title and date it aired, it immediately spoils the plot with an AI blurb.

This is annoying. This game is featuring Miyamoto Musashi, a real-life 17th century Japanese duelist who won at least 60 duels and died of old age. In his most famous duel against his strongest opponent (Ganryu), he just carved a boat oar on the way there and whacked the guy to death with it.

One thing I'll never understand is how "Make this a pleasant place to live for everyone" never caught on as a value for so many wealthy countries. Look at any town in somewhere like Japan, Scandinavian countries, Spain, and the difference is mind blowing. Why do we care so little?

Me: uproots onions I can’t use that are in the way, tosses them aside to unused space in the garden to compost Onions: “lol, lmao”
Some new onions sprouting from their bulb. Despite being uprooted and left on some bricks and mulch, they have somehow managed to reroot themselves and keep growing.

And it’s causing big firms to panic and throw money at the problem. If you ever thought about getting into cybersecurity, now is the time. I was just a lowly windows sysadmin who knew a few related things and still got gobbled up in the efforts to protect against these new threats.

I'm in disbelief as for once the system actually worked? My LG refrigerator broke and I was actually able to warranty repair it in time for a team of workers to come out, WELD a new compressor on, and leave me with a working fridge. I was fully expecting to have to buy a new fridge.

A thing that people miss when calling folks out for applying “purity tests” to politicians is that it’s actually just a judge of character. Some of us can smell poor character a mile away. And your guy might be your champion now, but if he has no principles, you’re going to be in for a bad surprise
