Trying to make a sea-glass lantern by putting one jar inside another.
Large jar with decorative rope around it, rope handle. A smaller jar inside with a tealight in it. Sea-glass pebbles in white and green fill the space and are lit up from within.

Reminds me of the time when I was a cleaner in an old building, which I had to unlock in the mornings. My husband was dropping me off and stayed for a while. He asked me if I ever felt like I was being watched from the staircase. Because a housemaid in black and white had just peeped down at him!

Two waterfalls on the River Brathay yesterday. Colwith Force, 40ft, Skelwith Force 16ft, about. Decided not to swim in case I ended up in the Irish Sea.
Colwith Force, large foamy multi-tier waterfall in woodland.Skelwith Force, nearly overflowing, foam and mist, rocks and woodland. People on the viewing platform.

One from the vaults! Just several weeks after Spellbound folded, rival comic publisher Fleetway launched their own spooky comic for girls - Misty! Every week the titular host, with the aid of writers Pat Mills, Malcolm Shaw, Barry Clements, brought spooky serials and one-off tales of terror!

Walked seven miles up and down rocks. Climbed up to bed on all fours.
40 foot high slate quarry cave chamber, central pillar and large hole letting the light in. Pool of water behind the pillar.

No doubt! Most of my customers are women and girls, and I wish there was a regular uk comic like Misty/Spellbound out, alongside say Commando and 2000AD. Not to say that they don't buy these, but I just know they would love it.

Went along to a community hub where you can use power tools and borrow stuff. But I have no skills. The adult college doesn't have spaces. I'm desperate to learn how to improve the shop but I feel totally lost. Where do I even start at bloody 50? Youtube? I'll lose a thumb and probably an eye.
Warehouses and mills on an old industrial site. Nice place, nice people, just me being mardy.

I've been in this situation but I was fit and well. From the outside, it looked like they had enough help. So the people better placed than me to help, didn't step in until it had affected my mental health. In your situation, with what you already know, I would definitely start to withdraw.

Some new Compact comic books have just arrived. I actually really like them, especially the paper stock. (But I really can't keep pretending I don't need reading glasses now)
Small reprint paperbacks of Batman: Harley & Ivy, and SwampThing: The Anatomy Lesson. Inner pages of Swamp Thing, in colour but on the traditional thinner paper. The original comic covers are included.

How mysterious! Where do zoned-out men end up in these situations, I wonder? Liminal back-rooms or just the toilet?

Lost my husband in town for nearly an hour today. Unless he didn't want to be found? Anyway, we did manage to get to the Water Witch for an anniversary drink. #numpts

I know someone with a stuffed Farage doll and whenever the owner leaves the room, that doll gets repeatedly punched in the nuts. If it helps.

Had some nice chats with new students in my town when I'm missing my own kid who's gone away to a different uni. Made me feel better. That and I'm not the only person who gets cheese dust all over them.

Late night at the shop yesterday, cleaning, moving stuff, getting the Halloween decs up. It's Fresher's Week at the uni, and I've done some promo postcards for the Women's Comic Society to give away today.
Corner of a comic shop with stepladders and paper Halloween lanterns waiting to be hung up.
