Love it when I really connect with a game and I’m not worried about it outstaying its welcome and too many side quests (I get bored easily) and get excited for my next session with it. #residentevilrequiem is currently that game. All the modern Resis are a class above in my view. Long live Capcom!

Hugely underrated and underseen as they say here. A brilliant film which improves on every viewing for me with characters you genuinely care about. Cant wait to listen to this one. 👍

Just booked for my son and I to visit @princecharlescinema.com in October for their 9 hour(!) Mystery Horror Movie Marathon. No idea what’s in store but can’t wait. Never done one before and not sure what I’m more scared of - the films they may show or how tired we’ll be! #horror 🎥

#residentevil film. Great fun. I don’t like my horror gory these days but I’ll let this one off for sheer entertainment! Abrams was ace, great scares, funny moments and plenty of nods to the games. Best Resi game adaptation that never was. I’d play the game adaptation of this film in a heartbeat!

Just started #residentevilrequiem. Very early doors but solid Resi levels of creep factor thus far! For top tier fear Resi 7 (aka Biohazard) in the dark with headphones on was the best (worst!) and will take some beating. That Baker mansion was gaming level design perfection for me.

I regularly peruse Prime Video for a decent film deal (still appreciate physical though!) and I love Misery but this has to be one of the worst ‘covers’ ever surely? Absolutely dreadful for so many reasons.

In order (most recent first): 🧮 GWH - enjoyed and can’t believe I’ve not seen before. 🐕 HotB emotional. 🏠 S - typical Statham nonsense but you know what you’re getting. 🎭 PF. Good but doesn’t work as well on rewatch. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #filmsky 🎥

While one could say #heartofthebeast was sentimental and simple (it is) we enjoyed it a lot. Nothing exceptional just a well made piece of entertainment that bought a tear to my eye on a number of occasions.

I loved Shadow of Mordor when it first came out (didn’t gel with sequel for whatever reason) so I’ll probably pick this up when out and a very decent price too.

#coyotevsacme Most entertained I’ve been by a courtroom ‘thriller’ at the cinema since JFK. Very enjoyable and Mr Coyote deserves a best supporting actor nod for his facial expressions alone. Surprisingly touching in parts too. A great film the whole family can enjoy.

Saw #campmiasma yesterday and I’ve not come out of watching a film I didn’t exactly know what to make of like that since Kill List. I’m pretty sure it was great but still cogitating. Some very cool sequences in it and I always have time for a film that marches to the beat of its own drum.

Fantastic film. Excellent found footage (with strong justification for keeping the cameras rolling). Great chemistry between the leads, creepy as hell and a lot of humour. Improves on each viewing! One of only two super duper blu ray fancy box sets I’ve ever bought (Ghostwatch being the other)!

Another watch of The Borderlands (2013) and even dragged the wife in. She hated it (in a good way as scared her). I’ve seen this many times and gets better each time. A real gem of a little film that all horror fans should try. Excellent chemistry between the leads and a belter of an ending. #horror

Saw #fall2 at the flicks. Despite it seeming to get a critical mauling it’s not that bad. What you see it what you get with this one and while a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief is needed (as is the case for most films to be fair) it’s quite watchable. 6/10.

Just watched GTA6 extended preview and really didn’t blow me away at all. Just seemed like more of the same with higher def graphics (thought guess that’s largely what a lot of folk wanted). Considering this game is costing a billion dollars this preview seemed a bit half @rsed to me.

I firmly believe the level of reporting of non-news by so called respectable news corporations that have to fill space is an effing disgrace and is responsible for as much harm as it is good (if not more harm). Humans seem no longer able to make mistakes when in the public eye without being hounded.

I’ll say it again but Moana was far better than I expected (though remake haters gonna hate). Normal was worse than Nobody. RoN2 ok but bit of a nasty tone in parts for a horror/comedy. Spidey was good fun as ever. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #filmsky 🎥

Just browsing through the films on sale on Prime and I see Farrelly brothers comedy Kingpin (a great fun film) is on sale in the ‘Arthouse’ category. Now I’m not hugely au fait with what defines a film as arthouse but I’m pretty darn sure Kingpin doesn’t fit the bill! 🤣

Rewatched Ready Or Not 2 last night. Think I enjoyed it a little more than I did at the cinema as I knew what to expect but the nastiness of the some of the characters still jars a little. Appreciate it’s a horror but the original didn’t feel mean spirited in a way parts of this one does. Still 7/10
