I could never fully 100% touch-type on QWERTY due to that fuckass P placement because stretching my pinky just isn’t a very comfortable motion for me and I’d just end up moving my whole hand to hit the P key instead, usually with my ring finger

meanwhile one of the most precious and easily reachable locations (the 8 home keys you rest your fingers on) is wasted on a punctuation mark you barely even use

Q has a similar issue but it’s a rare letter and therefore matters a LOT less + it’s not competing with any home row placements as A deserves to be where it is while ; doesn’t"
