My lgs is unlikely to have newly released paizo books. They stock more cards and warhammer than ttrpg material. Their site has become much faster in the last few years, yeah.

I decided to pre-order starfinder tech core. There's only four days until it gets released. I really do look forwards to seeing what it contains, I'll likely try to make a mechanic as an exercise as soon I get it and share my thoughts.

Yesterday, my undead kobold met her end by being exploded by a gargantuan cannon and then falling some 130 ft. Unfortunate, but a much more epic death than being stung by wasps or becoming just another victim of the Claws of Time.

Nice. Ambitious is good, if anything it might be reused later if it's too much for a level 3 adventure. Well, so long it doesn't cause burnout that is.

I think I will keep them largely as written, but add little modifications if I find things lacking. Especially if the players find that they can't do enough in the encounters, then I might import some actions from the new rules if there's anything that'll work there.

Yeah, I especially look forwards to seeing if they'll change the drone rules any from the playtest. Not that they needed much, but I did wonder at the lack of an upgrade for riding the drone. Also, how's the planning coming along?

Though with me starting to run a Guilt of the Grave Worlds campaign today, I have to wonder how to handle the starship scenes in that AP after actual rules for making starships and combat has come out. Hmmm... I might just keep the starship encounters in that book as written.
