that said, it would be nice to be able to choose between forum style or short form style when creating a space. a space with short posts could feel like the circles from when google plus was a thing

I feel forum-style threads are more "spacey" and should be chosen. I would like to think on spaces as something like sub-reddits or fb groups. bsky-style posts on spaces would feel too much like the main thing, and chat would feel too much like group DMs.

as for 3, I think the permissioned data will help to solve this, but there is this thing about atproto data being public in nature and this goes against what a median user consider as "private posting". It would be sooo cool to have but right now I don't see how to achieve this within atproto

I'd go with 2, 1 and 3 (2 being most interesting). 2 would be akin to Facebook Groups in ye olde times ™. Every now and then I see someone saying how they miss that For 1, I think it would be cool to have a tumblr-like approach, where you have the post and you slap whatever tags you want

here's what we're thinking: 1) you have 5 minutes to edit a post 2) you can only edit each posts once 3) images and videos can’t be edited 4) a prominent "edited" badge appears on the post 5) version history is visible to everyone 6) your account has to be at least a week old
