Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war. Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

This is somewhat misleading. OAS is fully clawed back at about $155k of income, so these hypothetical people are not keeping any of those payments. Of course, that's based only on income, not net worth or savings.

My comment was mostly sarcasm. But if it works *as apparently intended* and the initial person canvasses their contacts, then the supporters among them would know that they had been so identified and not be surprised to get a text from the campaign. It takes away the legwork of a physical canvass.

So to mark contacts for access or not the person would have to ask each of their contacts (their doctor, their vet, their plumber...) whether they live in Toronto and support Bradford—either this is crazy or the best GOTV idea since door-to-door canvassing.

People don't seem to realize that militaries game out scenarios, both likely ones and far-fetched ones. It's what they do. All. The. Time. It'd be more troubling if Canada hadn't done this.
