Are there any good books/articles/video essays/etc. on fandom ideology? I've found a few that seem to be "the power of nerds coming together to change the world", and certainly that does seem to happen sometimes, but I'm looking for something a bit more critical, ideally.

I'm low key a bit of a hater for ocarina of time already anyway (the pacing in the back two thirds...), but let me tell you: they are not (or at least they shouldn't be) following up that ocarina of time remake with majora's mask in the same engine. It just isn't a game about realistic lighting!

I was pretty high on the first Gundam Hathaway movie - the second isn't bad, but I am not feeling enthusiastic in the same way. It feels like a movie adaptation of the middle third of a book, where the first movie felt a bit more complete.

After watching an extremely bad Gundam and an extremely good Gundam back to back, I have decided to watch Gundam Wing as a Palate cleanser. I went in expecting Relena to be my fave, she is, but uh hopefully she at least gets some competition eventually because it currently isn't close

Finished war in the pocket. Is this the best gundam? Certainly of the ones I've seen. Highly recommend it. A show with such a naive child protagonist could have gone devastatingly wrong, but they really nail it I think. A very strong balance of naivety and surprising emotional maturity.

I am 9 episodes into gquuuuuux and I'm sorry to report I think it's not good A 12 episode Gundam show was always going to be style over substance, but so much of this show is nostalgia bait, and it's not even good bait (Char without Amuro or Sayla is not really Char). And it's only rarely stylish!

Finished Witch From Mercury! Pretty good. Thumbs up. Nice to watch a gundam show that feels planned out. I don't think it beats my current faves (og Gundam, Char's counterattack, tentatively what I've seen of Hathaway), but it is extremely recommendable.

Highly recommend going to work parties that no one else wants to go to. Somehow I've ended up with a whole crate of beer for free. I am holding alcohol that's probably worth over £100! Because it would be thrown out otherwise. It's going to take me months to get through. ...it's really heavy though

Ok, one more deltarune thought from me: It was my perspective that the best time to play deltarune was the release of chapter 4. By that point the game had established all its key questions and players, but the answers were still a mystery. Imo, Chapter 5 is the best time to play the weird route.

I am seven episodes into Utena Gundam (Witch From Mercury) It's funny because I remember before I got into gundam when this was airing, I saw people complain that the show was slow and just had a bunch of characters talking, but uh, that's why the show is good

The thing about Zeta Gundam is that I do think it's comfortably the worst gundam that I've seen (note: I have not seen a lot of gundam, I'm sure there is worse in practice), but also the scene of Kamille and Four talking about Kamille's name is an all timer.

It's far too late, I should not have attempted to finish Shuten Order, but I have. (I have also youtubed the other ending) I'll admit that past a certain point the finale didn't really do it for me - not that it was bad, just that the rest of the game was better.
