The US government is actively encouraging separation efforts in #Alberta and #Quebec. That alone tells you how ridiculous it would be for those provinces to separate from the rest of Canada because the US never tries to help others... they just try to take them over and bleed them dry.

Suspending gas taxes is the easiest move for politicians to make when gas prices are high and it's also the dumbest. It does very little to alter the material conditions of constituents, but costs a shit ton of money while slightly diluting the market signal that high gas prices should send.
