I worked at a daycare for about a month one summer during undergrad. They fired me for doing things they explicitly told me I could do, and not doing things I explicitly told them I could not do, and then accused me of lying about it. I had a new job 3 days later.

Ron also had donkeys, which were penned near the store. I remember going down to Ron's, buying a pack of those Grandma's mini creme cookies, renting a movie, and then petting the donkeys many times. Ron was one of the many guys in my life as a kid that I just suddenly never saw again one day.

We lived on a rural road, but this Vietnam vet my dad knew named Ron ran a convenience store out of a shed in his yard. He sold snacks and such (and probably weed) but also had a couple shelves of VHS for rent. I remember renting The Last Unicorn from Ron multiple times as a kid.
