Wanted to nap post-op. Instead I scrolled, saw this, and decided to try with my one good hand. Haven't drawn left handed almost ever. It feels funny, and very interesting to totally lack my normal control.

GOOD NEWS: She likes cream cheese and chives (and onion, apparently!) and also has bagels at home. I ran to the store and got the plain vegan cream cheese. She will simply get a chocolate cheesecake (no bake?? Never had that before!) and two containers of cream cheese and chives for her bagels. 😁

Look at that swirl! Oh, maybe you can't? It's the cheesecake in my fridge, the top of it is swirled. This is no bake, as that's her preference. There is also the cream cheese and chives to the side. But looking at it now it is chives and onion. Certainly the flavor you want in a chocolate cheesecake. I probably should not have gotten the plain one instead 🤣

I'm still running high from cheering the team after their loss. These guys deserve every bit of love we threw at them post-elimination. They played well. Gave us a hell of a ride. I've always been proud to be a Flyers fan, but that experience, thanking them, was something else. LET'S GO FLYERS!!!

Midnight Runners. Not only a buddy cop comedy full of chaos and charisma, but one where the cadets stumble upon a crime only to discover the police they're trying to join don't care. And that's what makes the two leads go on their own quest to help someone in need.

Two police cadets flip the bird at their instructor. I think it's the instructor? It's been too long since I've seen this movie, I'll have to throw the DVD on soon. Yes, DVD. I liked it so much I got it on physical media.

Toph Beifong, who every friend and my own brother says I am.

Mabel Pines, who every friend says I am. I do not know if my brother saw Gravity Falls.

Maomao, who I was recently told is like me. Just from a friend who says I'm entirely oblivious to men (but they don't like me???) and all too into my hobbies.

Narumi, who my BFF says I'm similar to. He's seen Wotakoi, and I assume he connects us for a lot of reasons, including that I'm a prolific fanfiction writer.

I took two cakes from the Wegmans ready to go bakery section and retrofitted them into Derpy for my employee's kid's birthday. Because he thinks the Saja Boys are cool, and I saw K-Pop Demon Hunters. While I thought the movie was so-so, Derpy was the best thing ever ❤️

Completely forgot my DnD character got a letter delivered by an NPC she immediately crushed on, who was wrecked when the wizard turned his cloak into an immovable rod, and then he handed her the cloak that she now wears like a boyfriend jacket because she's socially inept. But it's in my inventory.

In sweeter news, I learned how to use isomalt properly and plan to take these skills and convert them into sugar lightning for a Zenitsu cake. I gave this demo cake away on Buy Nothing. I've no interest in mermaids. I'm also the only student to blend colors.

The sugar (isomalt) elements I colored and stretched. This is a mermaid tail from a mold, and it's splashing into water that I stretched out.

As I carried it to my car I realized the colors are much better in daylight than the room's lighting.

I made some flowers out of gumpaste on the weekend, and I'm looking forward to getting some isomalt instruction at the end of the month. Determined to make lightning for a Zenitsu cake. If a kid doesn't request Demon Slayer, I'll have to grab a baker's choice. (Yes, I still volunteer bake.)

Three orange, ruffly tulips. They're technically edible but it'll just taste sweet, not flavorful.

A beautiful colored glass vase matches the flowers it holds. The entire arrangement is artistic, with height and fullness and only four colors. He arranged it himself. He is an interior decorator.

Vertically layered trays. The top has fried chicken, homemade honey mustard, clementines, golden kiwi, and blueberries. The middle has homemade queso, and chips. The bottom has hummus, pickled beets, dolma, sweet peppers, mozzarella balls, and pickled peppers.

Obviously it's all in small quantities, I'm one person.
