So, it's not online (sorry) but where I live in Canada, libraries will sell books that they are rotating out. The selection isn't always massive but some of my favorite reads have been from there. You can get books for very cheap or by donation.

If you lean towards non-fiction everything is turbulosis by John Green is really well communicated, will tug at your heart strings, and talk about social injustice. Star Wars: Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn is a good legends book that i enjoyed in high school and recommend if you like Thrawn

I'm finishing Red Sonja:Consumed by Gail Simone atm, it's not a very long novel (by my standards anyway), and has the odd harder word, but its mostly an easy read and I am finding a good time. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, there's science talk, but on the whole, surprisingly consumable
