Though the party is over, everyone MUST give Oranges and Lemons a listen. Can't sing its praises enough.

MINIATURE SUN - "The first half goes up -- a love song, how great it is. What great things the sun does for life. Then something happens in the middle. He's been rejected. And the other half is all down. He's upset and angry. And the sun is cruel." - Andy Partridge, sleeve notes. #XTCmusic

An Andy Partridge illustration showing green hills and a road on the lower third of the image, and then a figure with a split-face sun head. One half of the face is yellow and coyly smiling. The other half is red and angry.

We have gone full Megalopolis mode. Unfortunately I saw this movie early. Felt nothing. and as much as I loathe saying it, Megalopolis at least had the decency to be an entertaining garbage fire. Need the making-of documentary now this shit was probably a way more interesting production nightmare.

Since today is an International Day Against Trafficking, we wanted to talk about ethical production of art & merch. All our projects are co-led by a trafficking survivor, so this is really important to us! We also hope this inspires you to follow these guidelines in your own art too. 🧵

A graphic showing digital mockups of the merch from the Moments of Euphoria project. Text reads, "Ethical merch production: tips for creating merch without forced labor and negative environmental impact. Tip 1: Search printing companies for 'forced labor' and 'modern slavery' policies. Tip 2: Ask companies directly if they avoid forced labor. Tip 3: Consider environment-friendly alternatives (paper merch, paper sleeves, wooden pins). Tip 4: Buy local whenever possible! Share to help other artists create more ethical merch!"

The Brad Bird trademark 50s retro futurism simply does not work in a 2026 culture that desperately tries to drag us back to the values of the 50s without examination. The trailer confirmed this to me with the whole "you're a real throwback!" This is exactly what I expected. Regression.

Putting together a master-list of the best Halloween Specials for this October, anyone got any suggestions? Can be TV episode or TV movie, but if it's a full movie it has to be in some way directly about halloween/trick or treating.

when i talk about how people just dont care about horror creators some people think im asking to be treated like a high profile celebrity or a queen or smthn, when what i actually mean is that I think production companies should have to ask for permission even as a courtesy before stealing our shit

I used to wear a lot of stripes when I was in my early years of high school and every art teacher I had around that point would go "Oh you and your art are so Tim Burton." Every unwilling horror art queer person needs an obligatory steel barrier between them and that guy's name.

Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.
