I keep meeting smart informed Albertans who tell me they do not intend to vote, because they don’t want to legitimize the process, or because they know the premier is not bound by the results. But what if making us give up on voting is the whole point? My argument to vote - no matter the absurdity.

I keep thinking about Rakhi’s leadership campaign and how she talked about how Danielle Smith makes Alberta small. So true. The right messaging is about expansive opportunities, and not just in resources. So much potential being squandered. It’s sad.

This is an oversimplification. I think folks are not entirely onboard with separation in Calgary-Shaw. But... I think the NDP ran a much better campaign(kudos @dhuha.bsky.social), Derry was a poor candidate, the NDP's GOTV activities on e-day was excellent, and the NDP knocked on more doors.
