My #3rdPlace, (away from home or work), for #BlueSkyArtShow is anywhere looking out onto a big sky and open sea. On this occasion sunset on the Northumberland coast near Bamburgh. A long exposure image from a trip last February. #Photography #Landscape #coast #sunset #Fujifilm

A pink-red sunset reflects on flat and low level rocks as the tide retreats. A long exposure gives the impression of the gentle waves swirling and streaking over and around the rocks and inlets in between. Lying along the horizon are the Farne islands making little impression between the North sea and the sunset clouds.

Another Bamburgh beach #Golden morning at low tide, from last February's trip to #Northumberland. Just love the wet sand patterns left behind which reflect the dawn light. #BlueSkyArtShow #landscape #photography #coast

Two thirds of the image features a wide expanse of wet, golden sand reflecting the pink gold rays of morning. Tidal pools and flowing patterns feature in the foreground. On the horizon lies the imposing silhouette of Bamburgh Castle overlooking a slim sliver of sea, with dark moody clouds shading the dawn light in parts.

#Undulating mountains at 'blue hour', on a clear winter night after sunset, reflected in the utterly still waters of inland Loch Morlich in the Scottish Cairngorms. #BlueSkyArtShow #Photography #Landscape #Scotland

A minimal silhouette of two layers of dark, distant hills of various height rising and falling across the top of a loch, down to the loch level. The sun has set. It's 'blue hour'. A bright orange/yellow band lies just above the hills, which is reflected in the still waters of the loch, which fills all of the foreground.

The centre foreground is dominated by dark streaks in striking, flowing patterns made by soil deposited on a white sand beach at low tide. They stretch into the mid-distance to a small group of low, flat rocks. The top third of the image reveals a calm, blue-grey sky, featuring the rounded hill of the island of Taransay, and the distant Harris mountains in dull light. Successful night at local camera club #ClassicMono competition. Won digital section with #Seilebost image from last November's Harris trip. Low tide, fresh water, and sunlit white sand. Perfect for a graphic image. #TidesOutTuesday #Landscape #Photography #Coast #Scotland #photohour
