The highly photographed #AshnessBridge, near Keswick, is an iconic 18th century stone packhorse bridge, with views over Skiddaw mountain. Very little flowing water sadly when I was there a few weeks ago, but still a pretty scene. #Scape #landscape #photography #LakeDistrict

In the immediate foreground stands a fresh, green clump of ferns, alongside a shallow, flowing stream running over rocks and stones towards the old, arched, stone bridge. Alongside and beyond the bridge lie bushes and trees, cascading down the hillside. These form a frame for the distant mountain view of the Skiddaw range in the distance. They stretch into the mid-distance to a small group of low, flat rocks.
