My partner and I are employed on the same project. I get to write scripts, she gets to draw them. And those few meetings where we sync on the work is damn fun. Wish we could fund and write our own little graphic novel or visual novel. Would be banger.

Hear me out- Ping pong originated in the 1800s. So we could have a victorian era, romance fueled, court intrigue game where you, a social outcast, beat your opponents at pong to achieve your goals and rise through the ranks. Sword duels are notoriously tough to mechanize. But pong? We been here.

If you're coming to Gamescom and are affected by the train shut downs in Düsseldorf, consider Bonn instead. I found some hotels near the station for prices similar to Düsseldorf! Booking.com worked. Also there's a few all women hostels worth checking out!

Every modicum of research I've done on growth and potential in the market included the overriding want for AA, single-player, narrative focused experiences. But big companies are *still*, after the bottom has dropped out several times over, focused on the AAA, multiplayer live service model

Remedy continues to demonstrate that narrative is worthy of investment. People want stories. Good stories take time, expertise and patience/trust from devs who are less au fait with its mechanics (because it IS every bit as mechanical and design heavy as every other aspect of your game).
