Copies of Darwin and the Queer Origins of Life: A History of Sex and Science by Ross Brooks front-faced on a wooden bookshelf. Underneath the front copy is a hand-written recommendation from a bookseller. It reads: 'Darwin and the Queer Origins of Life: A wonderful queering of science by the brilliant Ross Brooks.
