12 October 1892 | Edith Stein was born in Wrocław. She was a German Jewish philosopher who converted to Catholicism & became a theologian & a Carmelite nun. She was murdered in #Auschwitz in August 1942. Stein was beatified in 1987 and canonized in October 1998.

She worked on the works of St. John of the Cross and studied the situation of Jewish citizens in the Netherlands during World War II. Edith was eventually arrested and sent to Auschwitz, perishing there in 1942. Pope John Paul II beatified her in 1987 and canonized her in 1998. She became one of the six patron saints of Europe a year later.

I agree up until the 5’s inclusion. I have no interest in relitigating that, but I do not think these are equivalent circumstances. Anyway, I would like to believe that, if our ownership had been found guilty of institutionalized cheating, our supporters would demonstrate a more mature response.

DeBuchy should have been better protected. If you charge-up and forcefully push an opponent to the ground (off the ball), obviously in a fit of pique, the referee SHOULD sanction your behavior with a red card. Even moreso when such behavior sparks a conflagration.

I suggest you actually go and read IFAB Law 12 (So, yes, there IS that):

Violent conduct
Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.
In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.

I was frustrated with how long this all took and annoyed with the Premier League before the findings came out. City delay tactics were designed to push anger towards the League and hope everyone got tired of it and it could be swept away. The league were outstandingy thorough in what they have done

I haven’t been able to watch Formula One since the Verstappen/Hamilton fiasco. The Premier League is in the same situation now. Sport as entertainment is predicated on fairness. The integrity of the league is compromised while Man City remain part of it.
