#CommodoreFormat were a little less brutal, but dear departed Mr Dyer gave the game a bit of a hammering too. Personally, I think the main sprite is just fine - graphically and spooed-wise, the game is aces high. It is just so horrendously difficult due to the Grem spawns.

#LogLoads64 Gremlins - The Adventure I used to love #C64 TAs and GTAs especially, but unless you have the manual, or you are suitably attuned to the parser in effect, they can become tiresome. So I stopped loving them. Then I got older and so I think I like them again. You know, as you do. Nope.

For a small YT Channel, this automatic ad placement "feature" of #YouTube is a nightmare. Look at the state of that. This stream is nearly 4 hours long and YT want you to watch an ad, in some places, every 2m20s! I mean - WTALF is that about? SMH

#LogLoads64 Space Harrier I saw @c64reloaded.bsky.social feature this as part of their excellent #C64 "Guilty Pleasures" series (check it out) and I couldn't believe I hadn't featured it either! Turns out, this is actually quite fun and is a valiant effort to convert SEGA's seminal arcade game.

#LogLoads64 Flying Shark The #C64 has seventeen million shoot 'em ups, or at least it feels like it does. This is very similar to 1942 / 1943, but feels a bit more tight and constrained and, well: difficult. It's still a nice blaster, mind you. Give it a try. A full price Firebird Cash Cow.

Bi-planes now? The "Flying Shark" was a WWII P-40..?!??!

The game was released too early for any real mag reviews, so here is some more modern fan art from CSDb. Both of these "types" of gremlin can be found in the Atarisoft game. Which, was actually quite a neat concept for 1984!

#LogLoads64 Gremlins Following on from my previous BSky Post: here we have another Gremlin, of a different sort. There were 3 franchise games on the #C64 and this, the first, is a sort of nice Berzerk clone, but with a lot more going on. It could do with being just a touch faster in its run time.

Nice title screen for Gremlins (1984) for the C64. It shows a bad gremlin, with trademark toothy-grin.

#LogLoads64 Dominator If you can ignore Catain Price scream-shouting at you "WE'RE BEIN' DOMINATED!!!!" and you are more a fan of #C64 shoot 'em ups and some decent Matt Gray SID (and you you choose to simply ignore the existence of Mark Cale) then take a look at this often-overlooked little gem.

A sleek ship is DOMINATING the space lanes. Tri-pinted lasers and a blacked-out cockpit. Is that an asteroid..? That's no moon...

This lovely #PETSCII LCP artwork can also be found on CSDb. SOme nice touches in there... Also, it should be noted that Zzap!'s overall Gold Medal scoring 97% for LCP was reduced some 3.5 years later to 82% for the Ricochet £1.99 budget release on tape. Quite a bit stripped down...
