#CommodoreFormat on the other hand, were happy to pan Cyberball for what it is. Mainly - over-priced and shonky. It should be noted that 18mo later, Roger Frames reviewed the game at 80% for the £4 cassette budget release...

#LogLoads64 Cyberball (1990) DOMARK! Argh! We're DOOMED! Et cetera. #C64 sports games a two-a-penny, but there aren't really that many "American Football" type games, I guess they were just to tricksy to implement. Well, this futuristic sports title is absolute dirge. Apalling SID + All else.

There really wasn't any excuse for not having all of the levels on the Amiga and I score it 94% because even though it is clearly excellent, it really doesn't push the hardware like Cannon Fodder or Syndicate, or Hired Guns did. But don't get me wrong - I love both machines and both conversions!

I hear you and I understand your points, but for me, it is the other way around. That the team got the C64 version working as absolutely flawlessly (apart from a bit of flicker and slow down) is an amazing feat of programming skill, it remains my favourite version to play. 97% C64; 94% Amiga.

Issue 53 of #Zzap! and both the 64 and its big sister received a SIZZLING 92% score. I mean, it really is a phenomenal conversion on both machines. Cracking job and one of the best games made, even if it is a simple platformer, for both computers. www.zzap64.co.uk/cgi-bin/disp...

#LogLoads64 (Reloaded) Rainbow Islands I love finding really good games in my Excel Spreadsheet List that I didn't fill out properly, thus allowing a "Reloaded". Simply put: one of the greatest #C64 platformers out there. Possibly the best. The whole thing is so on-point and wonderfully executed.

The exceptionally glorious and detailed "Rainbow Islands" loading screen on the C64. There is so much cute going on here. Sea, sunset sky, massive rainbow, spiders, flying creatures, pots, birds coming out of eggs and our hero, clutching his gold star that fires... rainbows! It is just so good.

I love the "Arthur Pendragon" games, but always found them SUPER tricky! State of that main sprite - 80s genius.

Yep, it's a classic alright, I still find it fairly tricksy, but - I still love it.

So here, at least, is an updated "loading" screen for the Hackersoft release. It is still not the actual loading screen, which I can now not be bothered to locate. But it is on Lemon (tiny).

#LogLoads64 F1 Tornado So I have just spent an hour downloading all entries of this from CSDb and not one of them has the loading screen. ARGH! So, here is the title screen to this rather nifty little #C64 shooter. Zeppelin made some howlers, but they also made some gems. This is a good 'un!

Everyone should play the frog game. The Sentinel is creative (and destructive) genius. SM's Civ was astonishingly rich, deep and, well: good. Isaac is still played today. Sunless Sea was a phenomenal indie title. Bravo!
