#80: Children of the Corn (1984) directed by Fritz Kiersch I know this is something of a classic, but the first half is slow without ramping up tension and the cult is never really that scary. Texas Chainsaw Massacre blows this out of the water, unfortunately.

#79: Ocean's Eleven (2001) directed by Steven Soderbergh It's a classic for a reason! OSP described heist movies as "competence porn," and this is a prime example where the movie reveals its crew's competence as their plan unfurls. pitt and clooney were kinda "him (x2)" back then, huh

#78: V/H/S/94 (2021) by David Bruckner and Brad Miska My first foray into the VHS anthology, and this is a solid anthology. I think the cinematography strains at the found footage conceit, but it still coheres. Terror was my fave vignette, but they're all deliciously gorey in their own right.

#77: Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 Compilation Trilogy (1981–1982) directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino After my halting watch of the OG, I went to the movie trilogy. It definitely cut to the bone, but its scope of the horrors of war stays clear, and the "episodes" with Amuro's parents are chilling. Onto Zeta!

#74: Kamen Rider ZEZTZ (2025-2026) directed by Kazuya Kamihoriuchi KR's first foray into catering to a more global audience and it's...solid! While the character writing could have been better, the spy plot is thrilling and when the visuals are on, they're /on/. The final form debut was incredible.

#74: Digimon Beatbreak (2025-2026) produced by Toei Animation Decades out, we're getting Digimon settings this interesting. I have a lot issues some narrative choices, but the commitment to the darker, cyberpunk elements made for some of the show's best arcs. Glad I kept current! kyo so cool

#72: DOOMED! (2026) by Open Mike Eagle and Kenny Segal After Maps (2023), Segal teaming up with OME's spacier lyrical/instrumental style just makes sense. Revisiting the headspace of Anime, Trauma and Divorce (2020) after this time results in a really compelling concept "break up" album.

#70: Bass Persuades (2026) by MILEY As someone who liked Something Beautiful, this was a bit of a let down. The title track and Different Religion (an instrumental of which was the teaser theme) are a strong start, but the bass (guitar) led music gives way to more generic pop.

The 20th Avenue NE bridge over Ravenna Park opened in 1913, but in 1975 the City of Seattle decided to convert it to pedestrian and bike only rather than spend money on a costly retrofit that would allow it to keep carrying cars. I think about that a lot.

hey, he's an islander, what can i say?
for fun redesign of sora from kingdom hearts that gives him very breezy and loose looking clothing inspired by his islander origins. his hair is pulled back with a blue hairband, he wears an open chest, large loose white jacket, black arm sleeves and stomach cover?, large baggy red pants with a blue waist wrap and leg ties, and yellow croc adjacent shoes. the pants also have some sort of open side pockets and a slightly lighter large crown patterned on them. i had fun with this :)

Resilience Kinsem, an original D&D character I made for a campaign that's not quite started yet! #centaur #ttrpg #oc
A pixel art illustration of an original centaur character with macabre theming. She has a humanoid upper body with long, curly orange hair, with many gray streaks, pointed horse ears, and a weathered, pale face with dark circles under her eyes. She wears black armor over her torso and a skirted piece adorned with pale swirl and skull motifs, trimmed in silver metal. In one hand she holds a large black kite shield emblazoned with a design of three skulls facing different directions. A massive glaive, decorated with small skull ornaments, is held ready in the other.

Her equine lower body is dark brown with sturdy, furred legs and pale hooves, and her tail is the same curly orange as her hair, with a matching set of horse armor covering her flank. The background is an abstract, painterly blend of muted red, gray, and purple tones, with a dark olive-green ground beneath her.

Art and Artist #thewaltenfiles #RosemaryWalten
A pixel art illustration of Rosemary Walten from The Walten Files, seated with long dark curly hair, tired under-eyes, and a neutral, weary expression. She wears a mustard-yellow ribbed sweater and a maroon skirt, holding a paintbrush loosely in one hand while resting her chin on a canvas propped in her lap. The canvas shows her drawing of Sha the Sheep, a fluffy white sheep character with a red flower in her wool, a grinning yellow muzzle, black hoof-fingered hands raised, and wearing a red-and-white striped shirt with a blue collar with gold tag. The background is vertical wood panelling, akin to Rosemary's art room. The piece's palette is warm but slightly dull.
