wouldn't we be able to get get rid of gas for electricity generation if we have a lot more industrial scale battery storage? we wouldn't need those Peaker plants at all would be cheaper too, since the grid price is set by the most expensive form of energy

LOL, at the end of season 3 of Silo they speed run through most of book 2 in the last 1.5 episodes and seem to almost go straight to book 3, after spending an entire season with almost nothing from the books ..

I've read the books and I'm wondering why they didn't use more material from book 2 and 3 .. they just made 99% up from scratch, only had 9 episodes, and somehow still felt like they were stretching things out. Still liking the show, but it's just .. weird decisions I suppose

That doesn't mean everything with AI is broken or useless.. It's also a field that moves really quickly, so what everyone thought was "common knowledge" about AI might be outdated by now. What makes it even more fuzzy is that not everyone is innovating at the same speed ..

From what I've seen AI has gotten a lot better in this regard, and this isn't that much of an issue anymore. For the increasingly rare cases where AI fails, you can have workarounds

I'm curious. People seem to really hate AI, but is this just for AI providers, or also for local AI's? Maybe you could use AI to automate processes that nobody would never do yourself/hire a person for? (e.g. write descriptions for assets for search Or automate parts of art pipeline (UV generation?)
