DMs here are probably the worst I've ever seen based solely on the fact they seem to fetch every single message ever sent when you load the conversation. All I do is share posts with my wife and that UX is also rough, but now the convo loads really slow and runs even worse. Baffling implementation

I think the distrust of software engineers is part of what caused the bubble to be so big. Sales people haven't liked devs since the beginning, have always wanted a way without them. Ai is the promise of that. Many SWEs are just naïve enough to think the leopards won't eat their faces.

I worked on an ai-first team and saw them hold it to a standard that was uncalled for. I've seen countless ai snippets that all missed the mark. I've wasted 3 hours on an issue bc my peer gave me ai code that didn't work. I've seen it not work every time, and seen it work not a single time.
