Roughly £2300 - £2400 - whilst we _could_ afford this, the cost of the deposit is too high. Sadly 45000 just got the deposit was too much for us at the beginning.

Na, our service charge is not so bad and we have a communal green space - it helps that we have good neighbours. ~£170 a month ~£1000 Rent ~£600 mortgage ~£1770 To rent for a flat is ~£1600-2200 pm depending on the standards you're willing to accept.

Service charges from what I've seen only tend to actually be problematic in high risers due to lift maintenance. Otherwise service charges have remained pretty reasonable on my end.

I _love_ talking openly about money. Our new build we got lucky as it's not a high-rise and in a nice little communal estate area. we bought it as shared ownership for 450 and it's now roughly worth 480. Am concerned for the next remortgage though. it'll be doable but expensive increase.
