I started watching stuff exclusively on my PlayStation this summer just so I could plug headphones into the controller and drown out the AC

All these years later I don’t think anyone needs my take on DS3, but I think the one thing that stuck out (and bothered me a lot more at launch) was that the game didn’t feel particularly interconnected. But then again, it’s DS1 is hard to beat when it comes to that aspect.

Overall I enjoyed this run of dark souls 3 a lot more than my initial time with the game. Not quite sure why it didn’t stick with me after launch but in the intervening years I’ve only ever replayed DS1 and 2, so it was nice to come back to something a little less familiar.

I didn’t realize that I never ended up playing the Ringed City DLC for Dark Souls 3 until I got to the actual location and did not recognize any of it lmao. And I either really hyped it up in my head or misremembered it being super hard, cause I finished it off from start to finish in like 4 hours.

I just noticed that the pinwheel skeletons in dark souls 3 do the Akira slide after they roll at you lmao. Don’t know if they do that in the other games, but for some reason that’s like the funniest thing I’ve seen in a dark souls game

We have to reject the use of this crap in games as loudly as possible before it’s too late. And it would be nice to see some of these publications show a little backbone.

Chris🌵 @localbones.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Both Edge and Gameinformer ran big stories on 1666: Amsterdam without an AI disclaimer. With those being print magazines, I figured it could just be a timing issue. So it’s definitely disappointing to see publications just hand waving this stuff now. We can’t let them normalize this!

I’ll have a new, much busier podcast schedule for at least the next few weeks. Right now I’m looking to put out 3-4 episodes of 3-4 different shows each week. Persona 4 is Monday, Murderbot is Wednesday, SPN comic is Friday, with the occasional DGUH on Thursday. www.patreon.com/monsterofthe...

Said goodbye to my tiny baby boy Sully today. We’ve been together 20 years, which is a lot longer than most people get with their cats. I’ve had him since I was a teenager! I’ll miss him dearly and I’m really lucky for all the time I had with him.
