No, I'm not ending this on a grey note. I know my answer, even though sometimes I may forget about it...in rough storms and during rough times. It's truly a test of self-convinction. But... I'm.. slowly gradually coming to terms with it. I hope so my steps will eventually take me there.

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 24/04/2025

Bcuz by then, by the time you've tried to become everything, being all that you can, you wouldn't even know what's your own self. What do you like? What are your core values? Without these...fronts, who are you truly are by the roots? ...Nothing. Just an empty husk, a projection of others' light.

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 24/04/2025

...Maybe I should probably make an alt account at this point to rant, but... I'm...too lazy to even engage. I've reached to a stage that I barely even care what others think of me anymore that I just become whatever I feel whenever I want to. It's nice to dgaf, but still its hard to self-reflect-

Sometimes I wonder if fame and beauty is everything you need on how to be successful in this world... Honestly it's such a cheat code that I lowkey loathe on this, and ultimately, having both automatically gives them all the leeway to trample on others' rights and laugh at misfortunes of others.

I'd also like to add that artists need to start not only having a backbone, but also using the tools to protect their work. To this day, I still see a lot of artwork that isn't Glazed/Nightshade when I go to the #Art. Don't have an RTX card to run them? WebGlaze/via CARA & ArtShield exist!

Also I've been browsing somewhere and hearing that Bluesky has been shadowbanning Palestinians, that's another side concern too... Dunno if my posts get shadowbanned 😓

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Once again, I'm not being harsh, just my concerns. I love the overall reception from the festival so much, but 100% more happy if its amended to Eid/Raya instead. It'll save us all the Muslim creators out there from the troubles and struggles that we have in showcasing the indie games from devs.

000

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Apart from that, thank you so much for the opportunities & organizing the Festival, @seagamethetic.bsky.social & I wish to thank all the game devs that have reached me out on X & also through email too. Wish I could try out all the games so bad. Really. That's how I love games so much.

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Don't worry about it being 'late' compared to Ramadhan, Raya/Eid season is a lot more festive compared to that. And for us Malaysians, some of us Muslims celebrate it for month, so it can be as long as one month just like the Days of Ramadan Festival. So yes, that's my two cents of concerns. (11)

110

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

If the Steam Festival is done on Raya season, it'll be appealing for those that couldn't go back home to relatives, as the games become a sign of comfort for us to explore, keep company and choose from ( + Muslim creators can eat, hydrate = more energy, more commentary for streams+feedbacks) (10)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

During Raya season, although most of us Muslim creators will be offline to visit relatives, but once we've done, we can go back to stream all sorts of games and our work schedule will return to normal. So, more opportunities to stream more games from game devs + showcase their games well (9)

110

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Fyi, I meant no harm to the organizers nor the game devs that have reached me out during Days of Ramadhan occasion. This is just my concerns if this Festival continues on for the next year. BUT, I would suggest, please do it on Raya season instead of Ramadhan season, there's more benefits on that:

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

I'm not one to comment, because every creator that takes part in the Days of Ramadhan Festival are all in their own volition. Still, for us Muslims, we just can't push ourselves to explore more games because we need the nights in Ramadhan to do acts of worship and pray too. It's just sad. (8/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

How does it take our time off from our prayers? Muslims have terawih prayers, and it can ONLY be performed during the nights of Ramadhan. There's no terawih on other months, and these prayers may stretch from 2-20 sets of Solats in time frame. So, for pious Muslims, they stay up all night praying.

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

If other cultures have a time of prayers and worship left alone, why can't ours? So technically, to most Muslims in a way, it kind of takes our time off from letting us to pray peacefully. Don't get me started on Raya preparations. Imagine cleaning your WHOLE house WHILE you are fasting. (7/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Not only that, to miss out by playing all the games when we should have made the most of it with good deeds & prayers... that thought just makes me sad altogether. I'm happy there's a festival for it, but at the same time Ramadhan is supposed to be a month of worship for Muslims. (6/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

At first, I thought that "Maybe playing these games will help me not to slack off, be stronger before breaking fast" but the longer I push myself, some of my commentaries just fall flat & tired due to fasting. I guess other Muslim creators face that same struggle too after some streams. (5/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

It may have been appealing for non-Muslims, because to their eyes, (if they don't fast) all they see & enjoy is that the food bazaar culture being everywhere on this month. But for Muslims, we wish to make the most of it in our good deeds, prayers & blessings. That's what Ramadhan culture is. (4/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

But there was another growing worry/concern: why on Ramadhan? Why isn't the sale festival be on Raya? To see my Muslim creators/friends getting stream burnouts just to showcase games from other devs before Ramadhan ends totally makes me sad. Nobody should face that, especially in Ramadhan. (3/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Honestly speaking, when I first know about the event + the catalogue, I was very happy. Really am glad that the culture of Ramadhan is getting more positive reception internationally. Not to mention many indie game devs having their chances to pitch in on their games to thousands of creators. (2/9)

100

LoafyKitt【Kat-B】🐝🍞 @loafykitt.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Before I jump into Raya celebrations... (I apologize in advance, but this is a teensy hot take in regards to my own worries about the struggles that some of us had faced) I have a few words on regards to Days of Ramadhan Festival thing In which I rarely, *rarely* ever criticize in public. (1/9)
