Oh yeah! Delany is absolutely mind-blowing! You know, I'm not a native speaker — my English is OK to read Harry Potter, that's all. But I tried reading Delany in English. I didn't get very far, but it was outstanding! He breaks all the rules, doesn't care about anything, and sounds incredibly cool!

It's a difficult question. I think of several authors: Zelazny, Sapkowski, King, Simak... A very special place: Lord Dunsany. But the one, who once pushed me to writing, was not a writer, but a screenwriter. George Lucas with his Willow. I thought: what the fuck! I also can do! 😆

I think it depends on the nature of the shifter and how they shapeshift. It would be okay for a wizard to shapeshift their belongings, whereas it would be impossible for a traditional werewolf. It's exactly the same with yours. 👍

Ah, yeah, humidity and city pollution can be a very unpleasant bonus. Well, drink plenty of water, take showers as often as you can and, if you also don't have air conditioning, open your windows early in the morning, then keep them closed during the day! A ceiling fan can also be useful.

Crossed my mind while I was reading Zelazny: the past tense of the narrative mostly indicates the speaker (1st person POV especially) tells us about some events happened to them *in the past*!
