Don’t label me, bro!
An unused sticky label for a 3.5 inch floppy disk. Printed in purple on white, it has “No Protect” and “Protect” at top right and horizontal lines and spaces for a description of the disk’s contents. These user-focused design elements could be unlocked using most everyday writing implements.

Wow. IP numbering for a street...
A rectangular white sign with a black border is mounted horizontally on a red brick wall, directly underneath a wooden structure. The left side of the sign features smaller, all-caps text arranged in two stacked lines that reads "LEADING" over "TO NOS".To the right of this text, the numbers "247, 249, 251 & 253" are printed in a much larger, bold black font.

Morning.
A slightly quizzical avian/human face with small half-strawberries for eyebrows, blueberries for eyes and a larger slice of strawberry for nose or beak.

flic.kr/p/2sAYCvk. The front cover of a photo wallet from Morland Braithwaite Ltd on the Alcester Road in Moseley (a few doors down from what is now Moseley Hive, but was then WH Smith). My dad got at least one film processed here in the summer of 1965 when we were living nearby. Lovely yellow.

Portrait of the artist as a young(er) facilitator.
A monochrome low resolution photo of Lloyd on a Pinpoint facilitation training day sometime at the turn of the century. The wall behind him is half-timbered. He looks uncertain in a way that others sometimes interpret as sceptical or critical. He’s holding a set of cards and standing in front of some hand-written boards, getting guidance from the group.

Our window cleaner is called Alphonso and so every six weeks or so I crack the same joke about him being a musical frog who rewards himself with a milkshake at the end of his shift. Imagine my horror when I realised that I was misremembering my ‘Bod’ and that the frog’s name was *Alberto*

Radio 4 LW just isn’t there anymore. The Droitwich Transmitter masts at Wychbold hold two memories for me. From the 70s on, they were the reassuring sign, at the end of any long trip from the South or Wales, that having come off the M5 at junction 5, we were very nearly home.

Borrowed my dad’s car in the middle of the night and then remembered that I’ve never taken a driving test. Couldn’t find the headlights or indicators and then stalled on a sharp bend in a dark country lane. Got out and tried to steal a motorbike but hadn’t a clue how to start it. #lastnightsdream

The “old shop” space at Essex Hall, set up with a screen and flip chart at one end of the room and rows of chairs lined up for people to face forward and pay attention to one or two people and content that everyone needs to pay attention to. The “old shop” space at Essex Hall with two sofas and four chairs making a circle, for convivial conversation and a feeling of equity between participants. A banner on the wall reveals this space to belong to the Unitarians. Only part of the slogan “find your spiritual home” is visible.

I've liked the *idea* of being a sysadmin since I sat next to a bloke looking after an AS/400 for a large FMCG company in 1992. Looking over his shoulder, it looked pretty easy. He took longer lunchbreaks than the rest of us and I heard he was on a higher day rate too.
