Ok. How scary is Hereditary? Like. On a scale of Haunting of Hill House or Mother being medium to the Exorcist or Deliver Us From Evil being more moreness. Asking for a friend who’s considering watching it solo.

Right? Don’t you feel it would film really well?

Liz de Jager @lizuk.bsky.social · 22/06/2025

It is brilliant. I loved it!

Hello! Long time no chat. I’ve finished PAGANS earlier this week which was RIDICULOUSLY good & highly recommended. Today I’ve started SUCH QUIET GIRLS which I’m very much enjoying.

Hey book peeps! We're looking for non-fiction book recs for primary school children featuring role models from the British South Asian, British East Asian, and British Southeast Asian communities. We want children to see themselves reflected in the books they read! Any suggestions? #KidsBooksUK

Fell off the top bunk and broke my arm. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I was about 8.

My husband suggested photos too. I like that idea but no printer at home. I do have label die so I cut a load of small labels and noted pen version, colour & nib size & on the back the colour ink.

I mean it’s fun but it’s taken me two days?? I’ve watched so much NCIS in the background. 😂😂

Here I’ve tagged the fountain pens that have ink in them already. This is only my TWSBI collection I’m sorting out. Now I have the other TWSBI I cleaned yesterday to load up with inks.

I’m delighted. We championed the hardback & love that the pb is doing so well too. Have a splendid rest of your holiday!

@sachacoward.bsky.social I know you’re on hols but thought you’d love to know we’ve chosen your book to be our next read at our dedicated & diverse lgbtq+ bookclub! www.instagram.com/p/DJ1pgcXMLF...

I’m loading them with ink today so I’ll post pics then. 😂

New journal. This red is delicious. 🥰

Hello! I am indeed. I’m not very present anywhere currently but I need to work on that.

I’m sure we will! Our bookshop is a small indie & we pride ourselves on finding fun quirky reads. 🥰

Exciting!! We cannot keep up with the Loki books in my bookshop. They literally fly out the door.

I’m crying? This is such a superb story. My biker boy (I yeeted a very conservative highly religious negative controlling narcissist from my life before I met him) introduced me to D&D. We got married & have been together circa 28 years. Still gaming & being nerdy together. My current character.

Went to Florence. Saw some stuff.

Top tip: don’t wrench your back & pinch a nerve ahead of a book festival you’re running. 🥺

I’ve spent the day thinning out the bookcases. I’m here to tell you I’ve moved around 150 books to the downstairs to give away to friends (they’re coming round tonight) and then to donate left-overs to our local charity shop - and I am unable to see ANY difference on the shelves. I feel unwell.

Good morning, Womble! I’m working at the bookshop today, but I had to share what I’m reading (one of them anyway) currently. It’s Fall of Civilization by Paul Cooper. It is fascinating!

I’m the kind of sick where I was all: is this areally REALLY bad hayfever or is it a bad head-cold? It’s a headcold. It feels like I’ve been in a collision with a herd of rampaging buffalo. Pity me.

Just created a new third level monk to replace my sadly unalived character from last session. He’s ridiculously strong as a character. I’m already a little smitten with him.

I’m late today as I’m working but I had to give a shout to what I’m reading: THE IRRESISTIBLE URGE TO FALL FOR YOUR ENEMY by Brigitte Knightley. I’ve started it and it is so tongue in cheek funny. I love it. Out in July!

So, last night during the DnD campaign my lovely elf ranger was mortally wounded. We’re gaming with complete noobs and their reaction to my character dying was so pure? I felt so bad for them. There was trembling chins and wibbles. Bless their innocence.

That’s lush!! I recently got the new TWSBI Espresso with bronze detailing in EF and loaded it with Unknown Land in from Dominant Industry and it’s just 🫠 And again it’s perfect for a new historical quest fantasy idea.

Ok pen & ink show & tell, pls! 🥰
