Real talk, that first summer of Pokémon Go was kind of incredible. Seeing people from all walks going around excitedly catching Pokémon and eagerly sharing tips with each other. Kind of felt like society was healing. But then it ended and everything got so much worse.

One of the best lessons designing ttrpgs taught me was it's ok to make something just for you. Lately I've taken to writing poetry about life and my partners, and soon I'll collect them all and make a nicely formatted little zine out of it and it'll just be for me and maybe them and that's enough.

As someone who builds so much of my games story off what my players bring me in character creation, I always struggle with game pitches. Like the pitch is, "I want to do something in this genre, with this system, and these people who I trust to give me A TON to work with", that's about what I got.

At this point, the easiest way to explain my type to people is "if a queer person or ally didn't know your pronouns, would they mix a they in there to be safe?" Like you don't have to have abandoned stock gender, but you've got to at least have done some mods and maintenance work to it.
