The release process got rebuilt too. Each release is built once, checked, and published through a resumable workflow. Packages, binaries, installer scripts, and container images are tested on the platforms they target.

The standalone executable carries its own Node runtime. The binary installer verifies the archive, stops the daemon for an upgrade, checks the new file actually runs, and restores the old one if it does not.

Building LoopTroop in public has been cool. A local open-source orchestrator that actually ships complex features with AI (no endless chat drift). If you’re into agentic coding, try it and tell me what breaks 👀 #BuildInPublic #AI #opensource #DevTools #IndieHacker #CodingAgents

Cheap Self-Hosted Kubernetes on Hetzner Cloud
This blog’s starter project can be found at github.com/qstarsit/hcloud-kube-hetzner\nKubernetes is a brilliant workload API, the community has built a highly extensible standard which abstracts the underlying machines and infrastructure from our application deployments. However, the cloud-native ecosystem can come with a sense of vendor lock-in. Functionality like managed load balancing, seamless node autoscaling, extensive storage options, integrated networking, and polished operational tooling are what you pay a premium for.\n

9/ The tradeoff is very deliberate: LoopTroop is slow and precise. It is not meant for tiny edits you want in 20 seconds. It is for bigger multi-file work where the planning quality, context boundaries, retries, and review trail matter more than instant output.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
8/ The GUI is a modern Kanban-style board, not an invisible terminal daemon. You can watch tickets move through phases, inspect artifacts, review logs, approve planning gates, inspect bead progress, and review the final result before merging.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
7/ Execution uses Ralph-style loops. If a bead fails, LoopTroop does not keep dragging the same polluted chat forward. It records a compact failure note, resets the bead workspace, starts a fresh session, and retries with clean context plus the useful lesson from the failure.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
6/ After that, the PRD becomes the source of truth. Then the PRD is split into beads: small implementation units with clear objectives, dependencies, target files, acceptance criteria, and test commands. The agent works bead by bead instead of trying to swallow the whole feature at once.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
5/ The interview is intentionally part of the workflow. Before writing a spec, LoopTroop asks targeted questions to remove ambiguity: scope, edge cases, constraints, acceptance criteria, testing expectations, and design choices. Slow, yes. But it avoids confidently building the wrong thing.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
4/ The planning part uses an LLM council. Multiple configured models draft independently, vote on anonymized outputs, refine the winner, and run coverage checks before the next phase. This is used for the interview, the PRD, and the bead blueprint.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
3/ LoopTroop treats that as a systems problem, not just a prompting problem. Instead of one giant conversation, a ticket moves through explicit phases: repo scan -> interview -> PRD -> bead planning -> execution -> recovery loops -> final review / PR.
100
Liviu @liviu.ovh · 02/07/2026
2/ Most AI coding tools feel great on small tasks, then start getting weird on larger ones. The chat gets long, stale assumptions pile up, irrelevant context leaks in, and the model starts forgetting files, requirements, imports, edge cases, or the reason it was changing something in the first place

1/ 🧵 I built LoopTroop: a local open-source AI coding orchestrator for people who care more about correctness than speed. It is my attempt to fight context rot with context engineering: smaller phases, durable artifacts, human approvals, LLM council planning, and Ralph-style retry loops.

LoopTroop takes your ticket or rough idea and turns it into a proper PR for your existing projects or new ones. It uses an LLM council to plan it right, Ralph loops to recover when things break, beads to break the work down, context engineering, isolated git worktrees and more under the hood.

1/ Just launched LoopTroop – AI that actually gets the PR right Most AI coding tools chase speed and you end up with code that’s close but not really what you had in your head or directly AI Slop. I wanted the opposite, to focus on quality over speed so the result actually matches the idea.

In my 15 years helping build a $100B revenue business and scale cloud infrastructure with Amazon Web Services (AWS), I saw firsthand what happens when demand for compute outpaces the physical infrastructure behind it.
Data centers, power, and connectivity have all too often been built on separate tracks. In the unprecedented infrastructure build-out of the Al era, that fragmentation has become an industry-wide bottleneck. This is slowing down the benefits of Al for enterprises, startups, governments, non-profits, and citizens worldwide.
That's why I'm excited to work with KKR to launch and take on the role of CEO at Helix Digital Infrastructure.
Helix brings a new approach to infrastructure delivery, integrating data centers, power, and connectivity to help hyperscalers meet accelerating Al demand with greater speed, scale, and certainty.
Supported by KKR's leading infrastructure platform and launched with founding partners Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA and Vistra Corp., Helix will operate as a new company that combines the assets, capital, and hands-on technology expertise needed to accelerate Al infrastructure deployment.
