Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 23hThe more I think about Townfall's story the more I get kind of frustrated. I really enjoyed piecing together things to figure out what happened but once you have all the pieces and have gone over everything, a few of them seem to contradict each other? And not in a way that feels intentional. 110

It’s not only a great horror, it’s actually a history lesson and I mean that in the most positive way I can. Detention is an easy recommendation. Play it. 03818

Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I have finished Townfall. What I was saying about it being the second coming of Silent Hill 4 was even more spot-on than I realized. Very parallel games to me. I would say overall positive on it as art but unlike Silent Hill f I do not feel the desire to replay it for whatever bonus stuff there is. 031
Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Townfall made me so afraid of a specific enemy showing up again that when it did show up again when I was playing earlier today I just closed the game and said "another day". And I'm pondering how the scales weigh, that fear via frustration crossing the fourth wall. Good horror VS bad game. 120

Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I'm over halfway through Townfall at this point. It feels similar to Silent Hill 4 to me in that the vibes are incredible, the story is fascinating, there's a lot of really striking unnerving imagery, I'm constantly terrified playing it, and the enemies and combat infuriate me. 020

Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Still enjoying Townfall but a certain section did make me bump the combat difficulty down to easy. I just can't do stealth, especially when I'm scared. It's harrowing enough without being punishing on top of that. 020
Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Townfall is forcing me to confront the fact that I am really bad at stealth gameplay. I can do running and I can do head-on combat but sneaking around. I'm not good at it AND it's scary. 020
Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Really big fan of how Townfall uses medical horror, from what I've seen so far. 021
Emily @littlegreenmice.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Really liking the vibes of Townfall so far. It's really scary and I enjoy how much optional detail there is to look at in the environment. 020
