Singer and actor Ren (real name Choi Mingi), formerly of the group NU'EST, has filed an injunction against his agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, to suspend the validity of his exclusive contract. According to reports on September 22, Choi Mingi recently submitted an application for an injunction against Big Planet Made Entertainment to the Seoul Central District Court through his legal representative, Surim Law Firm, with the first hearing date set for October 12.
Choi Mingi had been preparing to resume his activities after completing his alternative military service as a public service worker on June 25. However, Choi Mingi’s side claimed that the agency failed to assign dedicated personnel—including a dedicated manager, A&R, and PR teams—and did not present any concrete activity or production plans.
Big Planet Made is a subsidiary label under ONE HUNDRED, led by Chairman Cha Ga-won.
