I simply don't think restorative justice is a good model for cases where someone wielded systemic power and privilege to do harm and then got away with it. The reparations there are to change the system, not to try to rehabilitate the individual.

at that point it is a matter of taste but the minimum requirements are: it should not be disruptive to normal service or done for any purpose against the host's wish. Respecting robots.txt is a must, clearly identifying yourself too (none of these bots do these days) and not evading IP/UA bans.
