Disabled people must “prove” they’re disabled enough to receive meagre benefits. Poor people must “prove” they’re poor enough for SNAP and social supports. US Senators don’t even have to prove they’re mentally competent to vote. Yet they decide who gets basic needs met.

Well, what I always say, "I just want everybody to be treated good." I try not to get into the politics of everything. I try to get into the human element of it. I have some of everybody in my own immediate family and in my circle of employees. I've got transgender people. I've got gays. I've got lesbians. I've got drunks. I've got drug addicts — all within my own family. I know and love them all, and I do not judge.

And I just see how broken-hearted they get over certain things and I know how real they are. I know how important this is to them. That's who they are. They cannot help that any more than I can help being Dolly Parton, you know, the way people know me. If there's something to be judged, that is God's business. But we are all God's children and how we are is who we are.

Gone for two weeks. Highly recommend Sebago Lake Maine. Flower garden exploded which has caused the Hummingbird Wars. There are easily 500 flowers and a feeder. Can they figure it out? No, apparently any attempt at feeding is cause for a flanking maneuver.

i've said it before and i'll say it again: what we want is for these things to be run like a HOUSEHOLD... a home. A household still has a budget and an income and resources to manage; all the moving parts are the same but the focus is different.

a business will let every person in it die a terrible death if it makes the business profit. A household will spend it's last dollar to keep the people in it safe and healthy.

A household will use money as a resource to add value to the lives of the people in the household. A business will use people as a resource to add monetary value to the business

We don't want a government run like a business, we want a country run like a household. Because we live here.
