I’m still amazed I was able to create something so cool. And it’s so soft and cozy and fun, and I MADE THAT! While stuck in bed, unable to feed myself. 🤩 I hope whoever wins the auction loves it as much as I do. ❤️

A crocheted blanket that’s designed to look like a tarot card. The title across the bottom is “The Reader” and it depicts a skeleton looking down at an open book in its hand. The skeleton is surrounded by flowers below, bare branches to either side, and sparkles, beams of light and butterflies all around. It appears to be an ambiguously dark color on a grey background, but that’s because I had to take the picture in a really low light. It’s actually dark blue and light blue. The throw blanket is laid out across a full-sized bed with a few inches of bed to spare on either side.

It took me a total of 112 hours across two months while listening to thirty podcast episodes and five audiobooks. I bought four extra skeins of yarn to be safe and STILL played yarn chicken to finish off the border. And I only crashed once from being too enthusiastic about my crochet sessions. 🥳

You laugh, but I just finished this and had a fantastic time. It was fun and cute and I’ll definitely reread it at some point.

Success! (Thank goodness for the automatic mail-in ballot system. Between the brain fog and being mostly bed bound, I probably wouldn’t have voted if I lived in a state that makes it hard to vote.)
