No game dev I've spoken to have liked it. The game dev stuff is fine, for me it's more some clumsy writing, the trope-y women-loves-men-in-industry energy and the potential Zionist jump scare.

If so many Games Week events sell out immediately, that's not a flex, that's a sign that the whole idea of One Giant Games Week has major limitations. imo what would make the most impact for local scenes is more regular contact & monthly events (respect to peeps already organizing such efforts!)

It was forecast to rain but ended up being perfect weather. Was a slice of heaven.

Running events is not for the weak and most of these venues have limited capacity vs demand of the week. Plus the fact most of these events try to keep costs for devs low, it’s a tough situation But also lets Hunger Games.

On the latter issue of respect, non-disparagement, trust and confidence, one of the first things the Respondent's witnesses describe identifying when they gained access to the Discord, was that the hundreds of people in Room C were audience to the Claimants openly and vituperatively disparaging and defaming their employer and its parent company, Take-Two. A named manager was called a 'cunt, the company hierarchy were called 'cowardly corporate fucks', managers were called 'arseholes', 'narcissistic', 'abusive' and 'bastards'. A sequence of HR announcements were mocked as 'like a shit advent calendar and management was told to 'get fucked'. The company was slated as 'structurally cracking', 'sliding downhill into corporate hell' and having 'overspent its budgeť with investors said to be 'losing confidence'. At any moment a screenshot or forwarding of any one of these messages by any one of the 350 users, or the publishing of an article about them by the journalist, could have generated enormously damaging publicity and hit market confidence and the Take-Two share price.
53. The denigration of the Respondent by its own identifiable employees was sustained and damaging. Numerous Claimants fomented an atmosphere of "them and us", disparaging senior management, criticizing HR, encouraging employees to take their next bonus and then quit and even circulating a link to job vacancies outside the company. Management communiques were

mocked as 'corporate bs', a 'waste of keystrokes' and 'Fucking bullshiť. Several Claimants encouraged colleagues to use forms of communication which could not be monitored by HR and advised on the technological means of so doing46. The damage to morale and impact on the work environment of the Claimants' posts were one of the primary reasons that three employees felt compelled to come forward to blow the whistle.
