Coal, oil and gas companies spend MILLIONS on programs for children, from Nippy’s junior life-saving to climate education programs. But they’re not doing this to create a better future for children. The fossil fuels they produce pollute the very air and water these kids swim in.

Onwards from our launch of From Cradle to Career, today the Australian Greens have proposed a Senate Inquiry into fossil fuel industry engagement with children and young people across Australia. I hope the Albanese Government will support it, and here's why. /1

This partnership is just the tip of the iceberg - part of a wider pattern of Big Oil and Gas shaping kids’ education. Our kids deserve climate truth, not corporate spin. We’re working hard to uncover the full scope of this shadowy influence across Australia. @commsdeclare.bsky.social

A very important question, and not one that we know the answer to. The partnership began in 2014, so it's not new, making it all the more concerning.
