L @lisas.bsky.social · 18/09/2026A few yr ago there were lots of electric wheelchairs on the 12 ave cycle track from the East Village to Safeway. I thought it made perfect sense, especially if there was snow and ice on the ground- they didn’t have to navigate all the poorly shovelled sidewalks. 140
L @lisas.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I’ve always been of the mindset that we should buy the best, longest use item within our budget. For me, that meant the UA. I try to avoid disposable as mich as possible and that included our bike purchases. 150
L @lisas.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I had an old outdoor mat that I cut the corners on and put in ours. I actually just got rid of it and will need something else. I was thinking I might see if I can find some fake grass on marketplace 110
L @lisas.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Magic Bags definitely work for us. Costco used to have heated stadium seats that I thought about trying but I’m cheap and I didn’t want to spend $50 on a heated seat that may or may not work. 130
Reposted by LEmily @allweeksend.com · 16/09/2026Hi, do you bike with kids on a cargo/family bike in the winter? I’d love to update my winter bike clothing guide to mention this but don’t have kids, so I’m soliciting help! Please let me know if you’d be willing to provide some perspective/experience and I’m happy to credit you on the guide. 173817
L @lisas.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Now that they are older, a ski helmet and gloves, goggles if it’s really cold. They are happy to ride most of the year so I try to make it as easy of a choice as possible 020
L @lisas.bsky.social · 17/09/2026We are in Calgary. My temp cut off is -15c but lots bike beyond that. The urban arrow rain cover is great for winter riding. When my kids were little I would give them a Magic Bag just to heat up the air a bit, beyond that their regular winter clothing was pretty much all they needed. 250
L @lisas.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Driving to your community playground is crazy to me but so many people do. I love getting to a playground with lots of bikes though. Tuxedo Park playground and Rotary Park almost always has bikes at it 140

Want to go to the record store? It’s a 5 min bike ride. Want to get candy? It’s a 1 minute walk. Want to go to 5 playground? 5 min walk any direction 070
